Data and account deletion
Summary. Finance Dashboard has one account, belonging to its operator. He can delete any or all of his data at any time. If you believe data about you is held in this app, email rolotrealanis@gmail.com and it will be deleted.
1. How to request deletion
Email rolotrealanis@gmail.com with the subject line "Data deletion request". Include enough detail to identify what you are asking about.
Requests are acknowledged within 7 days and acted on within 30 days.
There is no in-app deletion form for third parties, because the app has no third-party users — there is no account for anyone else to delete.
2. What gets deleted
On a full deletion:
- Cloudflare D1 (
finance-db) — accounts, transactions, holdings, securities, investment transactions, categories, budgets, receipt metadata and line items, retirement assumptions, projection runs, sync state, provider access tokens, and audit log entries. - Cloudflare R2 (
finance-docs) — every receipt image and PDF. - Cloudflare KV — session records.
3. Deleting individual receipts
Receipts deleted in the app are soft-deleted immediately (they stop being visible and stop being used) and then permanently destroyed by a scheduled job that runs daily at 05:00 UTC, removing anything soft-deleted more than 30 days earlier — both the database row and the stored file.
4. Disconnecting the data providers
Deleting data from this app does not by itself end the connection at the aggregator. To fully unwind:
- Plaid — remove the stored Item and its access token from the app's database, and manage or revoke the connection directly at my.plaid.com.
- SimpleFIN Bridge — delete the stored access URL secret from the app and revoke the access URL in the SimpleFIN Bridge account at simplefin.org.
- Google — revoke the app's sign-in access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
5. What may survive deletion
Nothing is retained for marketing or profiling. Cloudflare's own platform-level operational logs are outside the operator's control and are governed by Cloudflare's privacy policy. Records may be retained where the law requires it.
